Abstract: With a view to the academic debates about the mechanism of the glass denierer perception, the tribology theory was used and the friction nature of glass denierer in each movement processes was qualitative classified.By using the tribology to define the solid friction, the border friction, and the fluid friction and analyze the macro and micro model of the contact between the silk yarn and the glass denierer, the previous denierer theoretical model deficiencies were pointed out.The friction formula of the contact between the silk yarn and the glass denierer was re-established by using the simple adhesion theory which was from the tribology. The new friction formula of the contact between the silk yarn and the glass denierer shows that there are three frictions: the solid friction, the border friction, and the fluid friction in the normal perception circumstances. When the silk yarn size diameter is less than the thickness of sensor pad,the new friction formula of the contact between the silk yarn and the glass denierer is the same as the previous denierer theoretical model. Therefore,it can be said that the new theory is more applicable to all types of glass denierer now in use.
