Chu Culture is the regional culture that is created during the pre-Qin period by Chu people in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and the minority area inhabited by Tujia people close to the Chu area had been marked with the Chu Culture. The cultural origins of the two areas, as well as their attitudes towards the phoenix, have displayed the exchange and integration of Tujia and Chu cultures. One of the important carriers of the Tujia culture is Tujia brocade, which has clear deep-prints of the Chu culture in respect of weaving methods, pattern styles of geometric abstraction features. This research has positive meanings for studying the disappeared Ba-Chu civilization and witnesses the diversification of Chinese civilization.
