Improving the wettability of PET nonwoven fabrics by plasma treatment

摘要: 采用O2、N2等离子体分别对PET非织造布进行改性处理,使用原子力显微镜(AFM)、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)对其微观结构进行表征与分析。结果显示,低温等离子体处理对PET纤维表面产生明显的刻蚀,处理后PET非织造布润湿性能得到提高;用O2等离子体处理60 s时,PET非织造布瞬间吸水量以及最大吸水量较好。

Abstract: The plasma treatment by O-2 and N-2 was used respectively to treat PET nonwoven fabric.Atomic force microscopy(AFM) and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) were employed to characterize the micro-structure of the fiber.The results show that low temperature plasma treatment has significantly etched the surface of PET fiber of the nonwoven fabric and its wettability is also improved.It is found that the fabric exhibits better water adsorption after(60 s′) plasma treatment by O-2.
