Abstract: Abstract : To promote the development of flame-retardant viscose fiber in China, this article describes the development status of China's flame-retardant viscose fiber. The writer analyzes the flame retardant mechanism of viscose fiber from a technical point of view, focuses on describing the production method of flame-retardant viscose fiber and technically, structure, and performance characteristics. At the end of the article, the writer analyzes the main problems of flame-retardant viscose fiber currently existed. Point out that the main problem of China’s flame-retardant viscose fiber is low fiber strength and wet modulus. Application of high wet modulus fibers and new type solvent fiber, to improve the processing of weaving techniques, development of new type biomass fiber and new type nano-scale flame retardants, etc. are required to solve the a.m. problems. And also makes prospects for the future development of flame-retardant viscose fiber in this article.

Key words: flame-retardant viscose fiber , flame retardant , flame retardant mechanism , problem ,  prospect
