Abstract: In order to reduce the prickle sensation evoked by wool fabrics, the effect of thin/thick wool fibers on the prickle sensation was evaluated objectively.Based on the self-developed apparatus, the compressing and bending behavior of single fibers and the relative parameters, which directly affect the prickle sensation, can be obtained.Based on the experimental results, the objective evaluation of prickle mechanism evoked by wool fabrics can be figured out. Moreover, the evaluation and research are in favor of wool selection and finishing of wool fabrics.
