Abstract: Based on the 3-D orthogonal fabric with war p binder yarns, six pieces of fabrics were woven with 2 kinds of binder float le n gths under 3 kinds of binder tensions.By comparing the binder yarn crimpness, fil ling yarn density as well as the fabric thickness,it was found that a proper bin der tension not only favored the forming of an ideal orthogonal fabric structure ,but also made the weaving process smoothly. The smaller binder float len gth would make the fabric structure distributed more evenly.
