Abstract: This paper described the development history of the fabric softeners,their classification,varieties, and application,and analyzed the acting mechanism of the softener and the relationship between the molecular structure and performance characteristics of the softener.With the development of compounding and other new technologies,softeners with better quality and more functions will be manufactured.It has provided a reference for the formulation,development and application of softening agents of our country.
