Abstract:

The ionic liquid of 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([AMIM]Cl) was used as solvent to dissolve cellulose, and three kinds of cellulose solutions with different mass concentrations were prepared. Static and dynamic rheological properties of cellulose/ [AMIM]Cl solutions were investigated at different test conditions. The experimental data were analyzed, and viscose fluid activation energy and the structural viscosity index of the solutions were calculated. The results of static rheological properties show that cellulose ionic liquid solutions are pseudoplastic liquids in the studied range. Apparent shear viscosity, shear stress and structural viscosity index all decrease with temperature increase, and apparent shear viscosity is tend to be a constant value when temperature is up to 100℃. The results of dynamic rheological properties show that the loss modulus and storage modulus of this system are increased with the increasing of solution concentration, decreased with the increasing of temperature. The curves of loss modulus and storage modulus have a crossing point, before it, viscosity is dominant, and after it, elasticity is dominant.
