Abstract:

To overcome the defects of existing coating dyeing binders on poor softness, low soaping and crocking fastness, and alkylphenol ethoxylates contained in emulsifier, tacoating dyeing polyacrylate emulsion was synthesized from the main materials of acrylate monomers and glycidyl methacrylate by the pre-emulsification and seeded semi-continuous emulsion polymerization method using a composite emulsifier of sodium dodecyl sulfate and isomeric alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (E-1310), and the synthesis process was optimized. The emulsions prepared in orthogonal experiments were studied by performance tests of the mechanical properties, particle size, Zeta potential and emulsion stability. The color fastness and softness of the dyed fabrics based on polyacrylate emulsions were tested. Meanwhile, the optimized emulsions were further detected by infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. The results show that the emulsion performance is stable, the grass transition temperature of the polyacrylate film is -27℃ and the dyed fabrics is softness with the dry friction of grade 5 and wet friction up to grade 4, when the content of hard monomers is 8 g, glycidyl methacrylate 2 g, hydroxyethl acrylate 2 g and compound emulsifier 4%.
