Abstract:

In order to determine the grayscaling for black and white single-layer jacquard fabric in simulation with specific brightness tone image, a design method using the cluster-dotted method for image processing was proposed. Adopting three different brightness tone images as the simulation objects, the jacquard fabric samples were produced based on six screen frequency parameters and two float binding methods. According to the comparative analysis of the color characteristics of the original images and the figured fabrics, the results show that the high, medium and low brightness toned images are suitable for the ruling number of halftone screen that are 24, 14 and 10 lines/cm, and the local float blinding method can improve the lightness contrast of the fabric image with the cluster-dotted structure. In both mean and variance of the gray values, the cluster-dotted jacquard fabric images are closer to the original images than the shaded weave fabric images, demonstrating more stable grayscale simulation performance.
