Manufacture and performance of 3D-woven thermoplastic composite material

Abstract: A kind of manufacturing technology of 3D-woven thermoplastic composite material was designed,and the micro-braided yarn was taken as the medium.The void content,elongation,and bending properties of the composite material were examined.The results indicated that the micro-braided yarn is suitable for even impregnation of resin and has good 3D-weaving performance.Since the 3D-woven thermoplastic composite material exhibits low rigidity,pre-drawing of it can remarkably improve its elongation and bending rigidity.
