Abstract: By analyzing the standardization and modularization of clothing manufacture,the fast design and production of apparel could be realized based on modular design,product group application,systematical apparel processing technique,and standard organization.The modular design and manufacture system for rapid response of clothing production was developed,its function covered fast design of production procedure and flow line balance,and share of data resources.For this purpose,the fundamental works that should be done included determination of all process parameters at the standard working conditions,decomposition of the tailoring and assembling processes,induction of various processing plans and establishment of corresponding database,setting up the relevancy between data groups,etc.The practicality of the system and further research direction were also discussed.
