Abstract: A series of bimetal coordination complex fibers with different content of metal were prepared by controlling the concentration of metal ions and reaction time.Physical properties such as the breaking strength, elongation at break, initial modulus and moisture regain of the single metal and bimetal coordination complexes with different metal concentrations were tested respectively. The results indicate that the breaking strength, elongation at break are closely related to the metal concentration in coordination complexes. When the metal concentration becomes very low, their values are less than those of polyacrylonitrile(PAN).As the metal concentration increases, they are correspondent to those of PAN.Compared with PAN,the bimetal coordination complex has increased moisture regain but decreased initial modulus. The bimetal coordnation complex has good spinnability.
