Abstract: The surface of rabbit hair is covered with a series of serrated scales, which make the fiber very smooth on the surface, low fiber-to-fiber friction factor and cohesion force, low dyeability, and easy falling from fabric.Low temperature gas plasma treatment was used for surface modification of rabbit hair. The SEM and CDCA-100F contact angle tester revealed that the serrations of the fibers were gradually removed by plasma treatment and the surface of the surface of the fibers was etched. The fiber′s crimp degree was improved and its strength was substantially retained.
