Abstract: In order to improve the effect of hemp fiber degumming,this study adopted an advanced steam explosion technique.The experiment was carried out with focuses on the effect of pressure holding time on the improvement of fiber splitting degree,and remove of pectic,hemicellulose,and lignin substances.The results show that appropriate extension of the pressure holding time has achieved obvious effects in the improvement of fiber splitting degree,and remove of pectic,hemicellulose,and lignin substances during hemp fiber degumming by using steam explosion process.
