Abstract: To establish the upper control limit(UCL) for formaldehyde residue in textile matrix in the process of risk management, content of formaldehyde of textile samples collected randomly in domestic market was determined.Data distribution was fitted by 3 commonly used functions,i.e.,normal,Lognormal and Gamma;goodness-of fit of results shows that lognormal function is best fitted data distribution.Upper control limit for exposure point concentration of formaldehyde was calculated by Land method based on maximum likelihood estimates(MLEs) and Chebyshev method based on minimum variance unbiased estimates(MVUEs),and UCL values were(35.18 mg/kg) and(41.82 mg/kg),respectively.
