Abstract: Owing to the narrow living space of handicraft which results from market economy in China, many traditional art such as Hunan embroidery need protection to survive. Aiming at the situation and value of Hunan embroidery today in Hunan, this paper proposes some advices of how to cultivate, heritage and improve Hunan embroidery, among which the most important one is keeping its primitivity unchanged; these advices are propitious to Hunan embroidery’s healthily and sustainable development.
