Abstract: In dyeing production technology of classical dyeing machines, there existed problems such as the consistency of dyeing technology, the dyeing quality and the energy consumption per unit could be seriously affected by human factor. In order to resolve these problems, a kind of Networked Monitoring System for Overflow Dyeing Machines was put forward. In this system, by being networked with each others through RS485 bus, the dyeing controllers were utilized to be slave controllers. The master control computer with system monitoring software was configured. The centralize monitoring functions of sending down the parameters of dyeing production technology to dyeing machines, remote display of dynamical running status, saving historical data, and error analysis were realized. It is approved by the test case that the maximum dyeing errors can be controlled in 0.5%, the time used in dyeing can be reduced for 5-8 minutes, and the power consumption can be 15% lower according to the test case.
