Space parametric model and simulation of plain woven fabrics

Abstract: On the basis of the Peirce model, using the arc-tangent line as the yarn buckling shape, selecting the circle as the yarn section, based on the principle of the coordinate transformation, a space mathematic model of the plain woven fabric is established. And, conducting the space surface parametric modeling by MATLAB language to realize three-dimension simulation under different diameters of the warp and weft yarns, different density of the warp and weft yarns, and different structure phases, in addition, simulation effect is improved by color interpolation, adding lighting and so on.
