Abstract: This article studied the structure parameters design of the solospun roller which is one of the important components to spin the core-solospun yarn, including material, thickness of edges, width, depth and diameter of the groove. By comparing the spinning performance, polyformaldehyde was chosen to be the solospun roller material. Structure sizes optimized through orthogonal experiment were that the thickness of edge was 0.2mm, groove diameter was 13mm, shallow groove was 0.3mm, deep groove was 0.4mm, and width of groove was 0.5mm. Under the same spinning conditions, polyester/cotton core-solospun yarn and core-spun yarn were spun. The yarn property test indicated that: compared to ordinary core-spun yarn, the hairiness of core-solospun yarn reduced by 44%, but the breaking strength and the evenness had no obvious difference; The yarn slice stated that the coverture of core-solospun yarn was better than ordinary core-spun yarn with the core yarn position relatively stable.
