Recent progress of ultraviolet resistant modification for textiles

Abstract: Excessive UV radiation is harmful to humans, so it is necessary to use textiles to prevent its health hazards effectivily. Therefore, the development of anti-UV fiber and textiles is significant. This article briefly describes the principle and the influencing factors of UV assistance fiber and textile, the method of increasing the function of UV assistance fiber and textile. UV resistant finishing technology of textile materials are discussed. Focusing on the surface modification, body modification UV resistant finishing methods and their present status. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of the common UV resistant finishing technology are evaluated, it also discusses the developing prospects of these finishing technologies.
