Abstract:

This paper studies the performance on bio-based polyamide fiber. The knitted fabric of bio-based polyamide fiber is made, and the tests on it’s performance is performed. Then the development of this new kind of bio-based polyamide fiber is descussed. Firstly the infrared analysis method is used to determine its structure. Comparing with the performance of bio-based polyamide fabric with nylon 6 and polyester fabric, the result shows that the bio-based polyamide has better wear-resisting, drape, water absorption properties. And the multi index comprehensive evaluation method was adapted to prove that the bio-based polyamide has highest comprehensive index in serviceability. It confirms that bio-based polyamide fiber can replace nylon 6 to acertain extent. It can achieve better application in underwear and garments textile field. The bio-based polyamide can adapt to the diverse needs of the market with the feature of environment friendliness. And it has a good market prospect.
