Abstract: According to the descriptions on the mechanism of wool slenderizing and setting published in home and abroad,discussed and explained the limitation in existent theories and the weakness in wool slenderizing through the theoretical analysis and the experimental validation.The corresponding methods for the pretreatment,stretching and setting are put forward and tested based on a new mechanism of the “slippage slenderizing” for wool slenderizing.
