Abstract: To make up the disadvantages of traditional softening technique and obtain the super soft effect of the fabric,yarn-dyed cotton fabric was pretreated by cellulose, followed by ultrasonic treatment.Influences of enzyme concentration, temperature, treating time and pH value on the bending property, moisture absorption, crease recovery angle, strength and elongation of the treated fabric were studied.Preliminary analysis was conducted of the reason why softness was improved. The results showed that when yarn-dyed cotton fabric is pretreated by compound finishing of ultrasonic and cellulose, and then given softening treatment, the treated fabric can be rendered excellent soft effect;meanwhile other physical performances are also improved to certain degree. In this way, both processing time and resource are saved.
