Development of costume constructions across time and space

Abstract: Costumes can be categorized in the western and the non-western in the view of costumes construction.Western costumes are developed from the original no cutting and no sewing clothing and now become popular in our daily wearing.Meanwhile,non-western costumes are still survived in various traditional ethnic costumes in different countries.Their diversified structures have been giving a profound impact to the contemporary fashion design.The development with the time and various characters in different areas about costume construction are analyzed and studied.
