Abstract: The removal of pectins and lignins from linen/cotton fabric with pectinase,cellulase,xylanase,laccase and their mixtures as well as enxymatic preparation effect were investigated,and the results were compared with that of the traditional pretreatment process.It was found that although the enzymatic treatment causes much less strength loss of the fabric than the traditional pretreatment process,its removal of lignins,pectins and chaff and the wetting effect are not as well as that of the traditional pretreatment.
