      Tensile properties of 3-D braided composites with profiled piece

      The longitudinal tensile tests were conducted on the 3-D braided composites with various yarn cutting down parameters.The effect of braiding parameters on the tensile properties was discussed,and the failure mechanism of materials was investigated.The results show that when the fiber volume fraction is equivalent,cutting down of yarns reduces the strength of the composites,but has little effect on the initial modulus.The defective point resulted from yarn cutting down has small influence on tensile property,and the fracture section of samples presents a random characteristic.Lacking yarn in a certain length has more influence on tensile property,and breakage occurs mostly at the yarn lacking section.When yarn cutting down is necessary to meet the needs of contour size, the yarn cutting down should be distributed uniformly in the whole composite material,and the number of yarn cutting down in every section should be no more than 10% of the total.

      The technique for applying and fixing nano-material on cotton fabric was studied,and the UV protective effect and durability of the treated samples were investigated.The impact of process parameters on the results of application of nano-material of the fabric using fixing agents was discussed and process was optimized.The results show that 3~# fixing agent has excellent fixing effect.With optimized process conditions,UPF values of the finished cotton fabrics can reach the grade of "excellent"(Australian / New Zealand Standards) and maintain the grade of "very good" after 20 soaping.Tested according to AATCC standard method 100,the anti-bacteria effect reached 100% and maintained 98% after 20 soaping.

      The hydrolysis kinetics of vinylsulfone dye,Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R(C.I.Reactive Blue 19),was studied using reversed-phase ion-pair high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) under the conditions of varied time, temperature and pH value.After the dyes have converted to vinylsulfone structure,the hydrolysis is a pseudo first-order reaction as long as keeps constant.The velocity of hydrolysis increases with increasing the temperature.In terms of the hydrolysis characteristics,the optimized application conditions for Reactive Brilliant Blue KN-R are as follows: temperature is 50~(70 ℃,) pH value is 8~9,time is 40~(80 min.)

      PET spun-bonded nonwoven fabric deposited with nano-structured silver thin film was prepared by magnetron sputtering at room temperature.The effect of technical parameters,such as sputtering power,vacuum pressure,on the morphology and particle diameters of the nano-structured silver thin film was analyzed by AFM(atomic force microscope).The relation between sputtering parameters and the conductivity of the nano-structured silver thin films was also investigated.It showed that the increase in sputtering power resulted in the increase in the dimension of silver particles of the thin film.The best conductivity was achieved at the power of(120 W.) Contrarily, the dimension of silver particle and the conductivity of thin films decreased as argon′s pressure increasing.

      A random polyether was synthesized from ethylene oxide(EO) and propylene oxide(PO) using(1,2-)propanediol as initiator,and the influences of chain structure on the properties of the polyether were discussed.Nylon 66 spinning finish was prepared with the polyether and its spinnability was tested.The results show that the spinning finish made from RP04 and RP09 has excellent gliding property,thermal stability and wettability,and can satisfy the requirements of nylon 66 spinning finish.

      PPTA(polyphenylene terephthalamide) pulp was prepared by semi-continuous direct polycondensation using a co-current rotating and meshing twin screw extruder as main reactor.It has been found that the thickness of PPTA gel depends on the thickness of the slit of extrusion head.The thickness of PPTA gel has significant influence on gel maturing,relative molecular mass,aspect ratio and morphology of the pulp.

      Computer simulation is put up to analyze the effect of randomly holding points on cotton length measurement.The simulation results show that it is difficult to measure cotton length distribution by means of fibrograph because the average error on every point of measurement should be no larger than 0.08%.The staple length,quartile length,short fiber content and mean length can be obtained under certain circumstances.Their reproducibility is quite good with the confidence of 95% when(50 000) pieces of fiber sampling are conducted.It also shows that the variances of quartile length and mean length are smaller in the same range of sampling,and the reproducibility of mean length is 0.83 mm even when only(2 000) pieces of fiber sampling are performed.

      For improving the performance of the loom′s control system and facilitating new product development,the current status of high speed loom′s control systems both at home and abroad are analyzed,and a new control method applying embedded system in the control field of the high speed loom is put forward.This article illustrates the control system of the loom,and expounds the embedded processors′ interface which is the key part of the hardware and the way of execution of the software.This control system utilizes S3C4510B′s rich hardware resources and embedded operating system μCLinux′s high real time and multiple tasks advantages,and enhances the high speed loom′s control system in intelligence,network and flexibility.

      Along with the tendency of high speed weaving and diversified varieties of fabric,the let-off mechanism faces new requirements.In order to adapt to weaving,the let-off motion must be controlled accurately.Based on the typical let-off mechanism of available weaving looms,this paper introduces a kind of mathematical model with PI compensating network for warp tension control.It adopts an off-line method of system identification to obtain the transfer function of the let-off model.This method measures tension several times at one turn of loom shaft,uses the average tension value of a repeat of textile weave as looming tension,and introduces tactically a compensation factor to correct any errors of tension on weaving in consideration of the change of beam diameter.And it controls the speed of let-off motor with PID.The computation method derived can satisfy the demand of real time control.

      The paper studied the weaving process,molding technique and resin treatment of the tubular fabric composite material for repairing the textile lining of a tube under non-digging out conditions.The basic properties of the tubular fabric,flexible textile lining hose and rigid textile lining tube were tested,and it is found that the test results are up to the standard of ASTM(American standard of testing materials).For the thickness,it adopts grey theory to analyze the test results,so it establishes GM(1,2) grey forecast model,then through the thickness of rigid textile lining tube required by an engineering work,the model can determine and/or forecast the thickness of pre-formed tubular fabric.It has certain significance for future research and application.

      The anionic surface active agent PAAS and Ti-acid-ester coupling agent were selected through comparative experiments as the combined dispersing agent which was applied to the dispersing treatment of(nano-ZnO,) rendering the dispersed (nano-ZnO) system good stability.The micro-structure of ZnO in the dispersed system was characterized by TEM.The physical properties such as whiteness and crease recovery angle of the fabric before and after treatment were tested.The results showed that the UV protection factor of the treated cotton fabric has a significant enhancement.And nano-ZnO particles will form a firm bonding with cotton and the fabric can be imparted a permanent anti-UV property when the compound crosslinking agent of chitosan and amino silicones is used in the treatment.

      In order to find a new and highly effective method for cleaning the water needle plate,both the physical and chemical methods were utilized to clean the water needle plate,and the effects were compared.Their influence on the property of the non-woven fabric was analyzed.And it is found that chemical cleaning agent contained EDTA can achieve good effect in cleaning the water needle plate and satisfy the actual production requirement.

      The relation between the hot pressing process and the product performance of jute/polypropylene fiber composite plate was studied with focuses on the effect of hot pressing temperature,time and pressure on the mechanical property of the fiber composite plate.And through a special mathematics method,the optimal hot pressing process parameters were found out:temperature,(166.26 ℃;) time,(3.32 min;) pressure,(4.34 MPa.) Through significance examination results,regression equation and correlation chart,it can be seen that as the shaping temperature and time increase,the strength of the fiber composite plate first increases,but then drops.

      This article studied the influence of fabric properties on vertical rising size, as well as on the rule of change of vertical rising size as the margin between the width of overturned collar and the height of collar stand changes.The results show that the stretch and recovery,compressional resilience and density of the fabric are the main factors influencing the vertical rising size,and their quantitative relationship is presented.When the margin between the width of overturned collar and the height of collar changes,the fabric properties have an important impact on the change of vertical rising size,to be specific,the larger the stretch and recovery and compressional resilience,the smaller the change of vertical rising size or vice verse.The change of vertical rising size increases as per unit weight of the fabric increases.

      Having analyzed the supply chain features inherent in the apparel industry,a frame work for the apparel industry supply chain is proposed.In apparel marketing,seasonal demand and on-time delivery must be taken into consideration.In order to make a good use of the feedback information from consumers and allot to distributors the goods in demand on the market,an apparel enterprise should enter into a partnership with the related units in the supply chain system. Therefore,a new idea of zero-inventory management of raw material based on supply chain partnership is presented.The numeric simulation shows that the new mode of zero-inventory management of raw material makes an apparel enterprise possible to cut down the inventory cost and perform quick response to the market.

      The lower part of the body mainly consists of waist and abdomen,hip gluteal sulcus and leg.From these parts,18 dimensions which are closely related to the design of skirts and pants were extracted.Predominant feature sections were defined in research,which reduced computation of body average shape and kept 3D original information as much as possible.By analyzing the features of these parts,the relationship was found between garment style transformation and form-points moving.Further,a skeleton sketch may be drawn on a trial basis.Thus,parameterized body models can be developed based on the features of the lower garment.The study results will contribute to the customization and development of skirts and pants.

      The mechanical properties(action stretch,elastic recovery and creeping) of four kinds of PTT staple yarns with twist factor of 280,320,360,400 respectively were studied.Action stretch experiments of the yarns were performed and it was found that the critical twist factor of PTT staple yarn was around 360. Its good elastic recovery was demonstrated by constant rate of extension test and creep test showed that twist factor has insignificant effect on its elastic recovery.The creeping property of the yarn was analogized by a four-element analogous model and the result obtained is coincident with that of the experiment.

      Experimental and theoretical researches were undertaken on the elastic modulus in tension and bending of 3D braided composites containing axial yarns.The research results showed that introduction of axial yarns can reduce the work load of braiding,and enhance the axial force bearing capacity of components of 3D braided composites.The experimental results showed that the elastic modulus in tension and bending reaches the optinal value when the ratio between braided yarns and axial yarns is 50/50 and 75/25.

      The article discusses the calculation method of the capillary equivalent radius of yarn made of moisture transmitting fibers through experiment.Using the capillary equivalent radius of yarn and other parameters,the wicking height can be theoretically forecasted,thereby the moisture transmitting property of fiber and yarn can be theoretically forecasted.The author slices five kinds of yarn and takes photos,and selects typical area from the cross section of the yarns,then the total area and the area of fibers in the typical area can be calculated.According to the above two areas,the area of capillaries is just the difference between the total area and the area of fibers.The number of the capillary can be gained via statistics.According to the area of capillaries,the number of capillary and the formula of circle,the equivalent radius of the five kinds of the yarns was gotten.The experiment result shows that among the five kinds of yarns,the equivalent radius of negative oxygen ion terylene filament is the longest,while the equivalent radius of Coolmax yarn is the shortest.

      The removal of pectins and lignins from linen/cotton fabric with pectinase,cellulase,xylanase,laccase and their mixtures as well as enxymatic preparation effect were investigated,and the results were compared with that of the traditional pretreatment process.It was found that although the enzymatic treatment causes much less strength loss of the fabric than the traditional pretreatment process,its removal of lignins,pectins and chaff and the wetting effect are not as well as that of the traditional pretreatment.

      The plasma treatment by O-2 and N-2 was used respectively to treat PET nonwoven fabric.Atomic force microscopy(AFM) and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) were employed to characterize the micro-structure of the fiber.The results show that low temperature plasma treatment has significantly etched the surface of PET fiber of the nonwoven fabric and its wettability is also improved.It is found that the fabric exhibits better water adsorption after(60 s′) plasma treatment by O-2.

      For improving the protective and stretch recovery properties of micro porous polytetrafluorethylene(PTFE) membrane,a co-stretching of PTFE and thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU) process was proposed,which avoided the problem of environmental pollution from the solvent.The structure,percentage stretch recovery and water vapor transmission quantity of the co-stretched PTFE/TPU layered membrane and PU coated PTFE layered membrane were tested respectively using electron microscope,universal materials testing machine,and the water vapor transmission rate-dish.The test results show that compared with PU coated membrane,the co-stretched membrane has no micropores on its surface,which enhances its protective and stretch recovery properties,while keeping moisture permeable for comfortable wear.

      An investigation was made of bamboo-pulp based viscose filament in terms of its production process and stability.The different technological requirements between the bamboo-pulp based viscose filament and staple fibers of were compared.And the correlation of morphology and spinnability of bamboo-pulp based viscose filament was discussed systematically.Adjustment of the after-solution temperature and the solidification bath temperature may improve the structure and morphology of the product,which can be explained with the concept of residual ester value.This shows that the selected technological parameters are reasonable.

      In the process of winding,if silk-loop overlapping occurs,the distribution of silk-loop on the bobbin will be uneven,which will result in breakage or entanglement of silk yarn during unwinding.So the phenomena must be avoided.In principle,overlap prevention methods can be classified by the axial and circumferential.In order to prevent silk-loop overlapping,on some equipments the two methods are used simultaneously,making the outfit more complicated but offsetting the overlap prevention effect.Obviously,it is unreasonable.Taking the cop winder of B101 as an example,it has proven by computation that so long as the decimal fraction reasonable,only adopting the circumferential method can achieve good effect of overlap prevention and simplification of the outfit.

      The transformational operation rules of narrowing and widening in knitting a woolen sweater is proposed.Based on the characteristics of narrowing and widening,integrated with corresponding equations,fourteen operation rules are given.The operation rules are divided into two major groups: the transformation of total needle number and turning number being the same,and the total needle number and turning number being different.In the former transformation,the operation rules of segments to increase,decrease and change under different terms are presented,and in the latter,operation rules for the total needle number and turning number being changing are set forth.

      Dyeing behavior of cotton fabric modified with PECH-amine was investigated.The results show that compared with the unmodified cotton fabric,the modified fabric can be dyed with direct and reactive dyes without salts under neutral conditions,dye uptake is improved obviously,and the fixation rate of reactive dyes is enhanced.When dyeing the same depth of shade,80% of dyes can be economized. The performance indexes of the dyed fabric of modified cotton have reached the requirements in class A of GB 18401—2003.The dye effluent is conformed to Level II Standard of "Waste Water Discharge Standard for the Textile Dyeing and Finishing Industry"(GB 4287—1992).Clean dyeing whose effluent contains zero salt and little dye has been realized.

      The trends and results achieved on application of image processing technique in the textile and garment were reviewed.The basis and principle of application of image technique to the garment pleat evaluation were studied.The visual effects of the garment pleats created by various techniques and wearing were analyzed,and methods for extracting pleat images form the surface of the fabric were also introduced.After image processing of the extracted pleats,an evaluation system of garment pleats based on the grey scale was recommended,which included such indexes as the number,depth and width of pleat,and unevenness of pleat.In so doing,a digital description of garment pleats——a visual effect was expected.Research results indicated that this evaluation system can truly reflect the form and characteristics of garment pleats.

      Owing to the fact that uniform evaluation criterion of the neckline performance of woolen sweaters is not available presently,the performance of necklines of woolen sweaters is classified objectively by comfortableness and durability through testing the stretchability of the neckline.The membership function is constructed,and the optimal fuzzy division could be gained by iterative algorithm,then the samples are classified on the principle of the maximum membership grade,and finally the classification rationality and cluster validity are verified by FE index and the maximum value of fuzzy division entropy among kinds.By application of the cluster method based on fuzzy division,the effect of subjective factors is alleviated,and the effectiveness of data processing is improved.The classified samples could be the training samples for discriminate functions of new samples for evaluation system.

      According to the historical documents,the course of hard times of development of textile industry in the Shannxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region during the anti-Japanese war and the special law of its development were analyzed.Its progress and features was discussed.It is found that as to the system of ownership of the textile industry,the public-owned enterprises are the backbone with production cooperatives,private enterprise and household industry co-existing.In management,the diversified mode includes modern,handicraft and household industries.It is a self-reliance and self-support economy with little commercial nature.

      Having lower area density and high specific energy absorption(SEA),fiber-reinforced composites are widely used in the area of personal armor.And the breakage of fibers in composites is the main mode of energy absorption.Previous researches were focused on the observing of the damage mode after a ballistic test.This paper simulated Twaron~D○R fiber struck by the steel projectile with finite element analysis(FEA).The result is compared with that of previous experiment and found that they are quite similar.In addition,fiber energy absorption principle was further explained.This research result may serve as a guide in the design of personal armors.

      This paper introduced the development progress of the cotton dust control standards in cotton mills in China and the importance of cotton dust exposure limit in protecting the health of workers.A comparison of occupational exposure limits and sampling methods of cotton dust between China and foreign countries was made,and a different viewpoint was set forth on the necessity of the upper limit of exposure to the cotton dust of the allowed concentration based on time weighted average regulated in GB Z2—2002 standard.And adjustment of the exposure limit with respect to the workers who are working not according to normal shifts,dust sampling methods,and dust particle sizes were also discussed.Furthermore,it was suggested that exposure limit be regulated according to different groups and the workability of standards be ensured.

      Rich costume culture among the Chinese people is an endless source of inspiration for modern garment design.This article studied the details of shape and decoration——pleats in Chinese folk dresses,and investigated its value in culture and art and the influence on modern design with focuses on the shape and decorative characters of pleats and its influence on the concept of modern garment design from shape aesthetic aspect.The combination of utility with aesthetic value in pleats in the traditional dress embodies the effective value of pleats in folk costume and is an important intension which should be expressed in the course of development of modern costume culture.
