The dispersing of MgO nano-particles on the surface of the activated carbon fiber(ACF) was affected by chemical precipitation.The optimized conditions for even dispersing of MgO nano-particles on the surface of ACF were obtained through analyzing different concentrations of NaOH and duration of reaction.The photographs of scanning electronic microscopy(SEM) showed that the size of MgO particle was ranging from(50 nm) to(100 nm.) The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) analysis demonstrated MgO presence on the surface(of ACF.)

This paper describes an experiment of ramie bast retting treatment with pectinase and xylanase preparations under the conditions of supercritical CO_2 at 35~(55 ℃),7~(15 MPa,) and investigates the survival number of organisms,variations of enzyme activity and the retted effect before and after the treatment.The results demonstrate that the inactivity rate of retting organisms is over 99% under the condition of supercritical CO_2 after one hour.Under supercritical conditions,the stability of non-cellulase varies with its species,xylanase is comparatively stable and its activity decreases by only 1.6%,and pectinase stability is,however,not so good and its activity decreases by 23.79%.The enzymatic retting of ramie in the medium of supercritical CO_2 is beneficial to accelerate the catalytic process and the retting efficiency is increased by 60%~100%.

Introduced a new microbial transglutaminase(MTG) which was prepared by microbial fermentation and applied to the treatment of wool fabrics,and investigated its effect in anti-felting and remedy of strength loss of the wool fabric.Analysis of amino-acids of the wool used in this experiment was undertaken to provide a theoretic basis for the feasibility of the role of MTG.The wool fabric was pretreated in order by potassium permanganate and protease,then,followed by MTG treatment.When compared with the control sample,the strength of the treated fabric increased by about 30%,and the felting shrinkage reduced from 9.3% to 2.3%.When compared with the traditional resin treatment,its felting shrinkage was similar,but strength was lower.However,the COD of its treating bath was only one third of that of the traditional resin treatment.

The effect of UV-radiation on PET and the stabilizing role of dulling agents and UV shield agents were investigated.The results indicated that PET fibers after exposure to UV-radiation exhibited a marked reduction in molecular weight and tensile strength,noticeable decline in glass-transition temperature and melting temperature,but an increase in crystallinity.And dulling agents and the UV shield agent had stabilizing function for PET during exposure to UV-radiation.

Mechanical properties of yarns have great influence on the fabric′s mechanical properties and durability.So,it is very important to research the mechanical properties of yarns,especially the dynamic mechanical properties. CTT developed by American Lawson-Hemphill Company was used to examine the dynamic mechanical properties of yarns,and tests result showed that the dynamic mechanical properties of the yarn have more impact on its production than the static mechanical properties.

The paper gives definitions of fabric drying in physical meaning and in popular meaning and makes a distinction between the two.And based on the drying principle of fabrics,the three phases of fabric drying are analyzed along with the factors influencing the drying speed.Two sets of experimental data obtained demonstrated that regardless of kinds of fiber,when the yarn and the construction of the knitted fabrics are the same,the amount of water in gram evaporated per unit area and per unit time from the fabrics during the evaporation phase at constant speed is the same.It corrects the misunderstanding that hydrophilic materials have a lower drying speed,and suggests that it is not necessary to repel using hydrophilic fibers in designing fast-drying fabrics.

Attempting to make a cigarette filter which can filter more harmful substances such as tar and is more eco-friendly,surface modification treatment of the acetate fiber for filter cigarette was performed by low temperature plasma,cellulase,and combination of both so that the specific surface area,absorption power, and filtering capacity of the fiber were enhanced.Micronaire value,weight reduction rate and K/S value of the fiber were measured,and its morphological change along longitudinal section was observed by SEM.The results demonstrated that the fiber treated by the combination of low temperature plasma and cellulase has a rougher surface,a larger specific surface area and better adsorption and filtering capacity than that treated by low temperature plasma or cellulase only.

Peroxid and free radical are created when starch is radiated by gamma ray.Grafting action can be tested by infrared spectroscopic analysis,when γ-radiated starch is gelatinized with polyacrylamide together.This action maybe concerned with peroxide decomposed and the Hofmann action of polyacrylamide.Moreover,different gelatinization makes different viscosity,high-pressured size mixing has higher viscosity,but viscosity stability is ensured under the identical gelatinized condition.

Negative cam shedding mechanism is widely used in water jet looms and air jet looms.To reasonably select processing parameters,increase the life-span of attachments,decrease the depletions of energy and materials,reduce woven defect and improve quality,the author has established the calculating formula for the primary elongation and number of return spring of negative cam shedding mechanism based on its operating principle and mechanical analysis of its components,and discussed the factors that affect the primary elongation and number of return spring.The research findings revealed that it will be helpful for reducing the elongation distortion and enhancing the clearness of shedding with lesser tension, higher back,decrease of shed height,increase of shed length,reasonable arrangement of warp number on every heald frame and reduction of warp rigid coefficient.

In allusion to such problems of texturing machine temperature control system as large numbers of control channel,high precision demand,complex influencing factor etc.,a temperature control method based on self-turning PID for texturing machine was put forward after making an extensive investigation of the available methods used for temperature control.The trait of texturing machine heating chest was presented;the present temperature control methods were expounded along with the existing problems and the superiority of self-turning PID control was emphasized.Discrete mathematics model was established by the way of the thermodynamics formula,and its model parameters′ recognition was discussed.The design method of pole placement controller was described and implementation scheme for texturing machine was given.Commercial trials have proved that this temperature control system is satisfactory,and can reach the required control precision.

Four kinds of fibers,i.e.,Coolking,modal,cotton and polyester were used in designing yarns,and a model of moisture absorbent and dry fast woven fabric was created.Six kinds of woven fabric with moisture absorbent and dry fast function were developed by rational combination of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers,varying warp density ratio of the outer layer to the inner one (WDROLI),and utilizing multi-layer construction of the woven.The wicking height,water retention value,water drop penetrating area and volume,natural dry rate,air permeable volume of the fabrics were tested respectively and the effect of moisture absorbent and dry fast was evaluated by comprehensive values.The experiment results indicated that the construction of warp yarn with WDROLI of 1∶2 is advantageous over that with WDROLI of 1∶1,and the inner layer of yarn consists of modal/polyester and Coolking/cotton is the best with respect to moisture absorbent and dry fast property,modal/cotton and Coolking/cotton occupies the second place,and modal/polyester and modal/cotton falls in the last position.

The difference in height between the collar stand and the collar is one of the main factors affecting the design of gradient data of lapel collar.Based on the design principle of the lapel collar,a mathematics model of the relationship between lapel ease,collar width and gradient data is established and its feasibility is verified by experiments.Provided that the height of collar stand remains constant,the lapel ease and gradient data of lapel collar increase with the increase of the collar width,but in the case of increment,the former almost keeps linear increase tendency,whereas the latter exhibits a progressive decrease.Moreover,in order to get a good collar,the collar stand must be made so that it can be detached,thus ensuring a fit collar stand and a natural turning of a collar.

In the non-contact body measurement system,how to obtain the bust size is a pivotal problem.Based on the photographic measurement method,this paper brought forward some fitting problems existing in human bust girth.And by using of photographic measurement data,the formula of young lady′s bust girth could be deduced by correlation analysis and regression analysis.The work has got good effect in forecasting through experiment of sample dress,laying a foundation for realization of the non-contact body measurement system.

400 adult men aging from 19 to 65 were selected at random in the East China for body measurement on 20 parts,and the data obtained were pre-processed and necessary statstics and analysis were conducted.Their body shape characteristics and how they differ between different groups classified according to the age bracket and body length were described from many aspects with qualitative and quantitative indexes.The findings of research revealed that the 30 to 40 age bracket is a dividing line,and obvious changes are seen with the dividing line.The height increases gradually as body length varies,and so does the circumferences,but little change is found in angle items.When compared with the average value and standard deviation in(GB 1335—91,) it shows that body types of adult men in the East China are taller,stronger,and more harmonic in proportion on the whole.

Configuration of milk protein fiber was observed by SEM and found that it is a profile-fiber with little holes in its section and grooves in its surface.Analysis of milk protein fiber by X-ray diffraction showed that its crystalline region is composed of PVA molecules arranged regularly,and the results amorphous region consists of milk protein.The properties such as hydroscopicity,mechanics,and friction of the fiber were tested and the results indicated that milk protein fiber is an excellent textile material which has integrated the merits of silk and synthetic fiber.

The properties such as flame resistance,thermal stability,and mechanics as well as the morphology of the fire retardant viscose fiber,which was obtained from graft modification of common viscose fiber,were tested.The results indicate that LOI of the fire retardant viscose fiber is 28.0%,intensity is(2.84 cN/dtex) and short fiber content(SFC) is 9%.TG-DTA shows the fire retardant viscose fiber has absorbed the heat during 200~(300 ℃) with the weight loss of 40%. Compared with common viscose fiber its intensity has decreased by only 2%,and SFC has increased by 3%.Fiber′s longitudinal surface and cross section are comparatively smooth.No visible holes and cracks were observed on the surface of the fire retardant viscose fiber by SEM.This demonstrates that the fire retardant viscose fiber is up to the production requirements in flame resistance and mechanics.

The glass fiber was exposed to the ultraviolet ray and treated with sulphuric acid,NaOH and NaCl with certain concentrations at certain temperatures respectively,and the tensile strength of the treated fibers was tested.The results show that after the above treatments,a significant decrease of the fiber strength is observed.After 4 hours′ exposure to ultraviolet ray,the fiber strength drops by 50% approximately;2 weeks′ treatment with sulphuric acid solution(0.5%) decreases the fiber strength by 17%;1 week treatment with NaOH solution(2%) results in 33% decline of the fiber strength;and 2 weeks′ treatment with NaCl solution(2%) makes the strength decrease by approximately 7%.The research work is considered to be of reference value in evaluating the strength of glass fiber products.

从理论和实验两方面对3种不同结构的棉/氨转杯复合纱的强伸性能进行了分析和比较。实验结果和理论分析均表明,转杯复合纱的强伸性能不仅受其组分拉伸性能的影响,还受到成纱方式的影响;包芯纱具有较高的断裂强力,其次是平行纱,而包缠纱的最低;对于断裂伸长而言,包缠纱最大,其次为包芯纱,平行纱最小。

Without hydrophilic groups,polyester fabric has poor hygroscopicity,which results in uncomfortable when wearing the garment made of polyester fabric.Therefore,it is necessary to modify the polyester fiber.The influence of the structure of fiber and it′s assembly on the hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties of the fabric was studied in terms of the fiber morphology、yarn geometry and fabric structure design.The results show that the hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties of the fabric made of trilobal polyester fiber are better than that of other polyester/cotton blended fabrics.The khaki fabric has good hygroscopicity and moisture liberation properties as well as comfortableness.

A tourmaline powders-contained melt-blown polypropylene(PP) non-wovens was developed,and the photo-thermal storage property of PP nonwovens with different origins and different contents of tourmaline were tested.The results show that the content of tourmaline has great impact on the photo-thermal storage properties of the nonwovens.When the content of tourmaline is in the range of 0~8%,the far infrared emissivity increases with the increase of tourmaline content,but the photo-thermal storage property does not observe that rule.

The paper introduced the process of developing a new kind of soft complex stab-resistant body armor,including choosing of materials,fabric making, development of test instruments and evaluation methods.The principle of stab-resistance of the body armor was investigated by means of the finite element stabresistant model and quasi-static stab-resistant tests.The results of experiments show that the centralizing high strength fibers around the place against the edge of knife is an effective approach to the enhancement of the stab-resistance,and the soft composite stab-resistant body armor made by alternating non-woven layer and plain weave fabric layer of untwist fine denier UHMWPE can achieve a good stab-resistant performance,and it is fit in medium-thickness and light in weight,and has improved softness and comfortableness.

In order to get a clear idea about the difference between the traditional and siro polyamide filament core?-spun yarns and to organize effective production,researchers modified the existing spinning frame,produced the traditional and siro polyamide filament core-spun yarns,and tested the properties of the yarns.A comparison was made of the two kinds of core-spun yarn in terms of the spinning frame,yarn quality and spinning technology.It indicates that the traditional core-spun yarn can be manufactured on a spinning frame with additional feeder for core filaments and pre-drawing mechanism,while siro core-spun yarn can be made on a spinning frame which is fixed with siro spinning mechanism and core-spun unit.The quality of siro core-spun yarn is obviously better than that of the traditional one,especially in the core coverage,hairiness and evenness.They have similar rove drawing multiples,core yarn pre-drawing multiples,and roller gauges and pressure in processing.But the feed gauge between two roves of siro core-spun yarn should be smaller,and the twist factor of siro core-spun yarn is less than that of the traditional,but its spindle speed can be a little faster.

To design and develop a novel digital double-faced jacquard fabric with different photographic patterns on face and back,the concept of weave structure of jacquard shuttle knitting was induced on the basis of single-faced jacquard fabric with photographic pattern designed by digital technology,and an auto-recognizing system of the fabric tissue by computer was also utilized.The design principle and the key points of the production technique were offered and applied to the practical production.This fabric was produced by means of computeraided synthesis of two single-faced jacquard fabrics with different photograph patterns.Practice has proved that a novel digital double-faced jacquard fabric with different photographic patterns on face and back has been successfully developed,which has intact pattern,rich colors and fine arrangement.

Introduced the characteristics of the hemp/cotton blended knitted goods.The pretreatment of(hemp?/cotton) blended yarn was performed with a special softening/lubricating agent,and the softness and lubricating behavior of the yarn were improved and the long-standing problem of holes on knitted fabrics which result from yarn breakage during knitting has been solved.The key processes such as scouring,bleaching and dyeing were discussed.It is suggested that rational recipe be used in these processes so that the superior characteristics of hemp/cotton knitted fabric could be brought out.The procedures and process parameters are given,which may serve as reference for product development of the same kind.

The wet,heat and alkaline conditions during dyeing and finishing bamboo fabric will cause a considerable loss of its strength.Bleaching of bamboo fabric with peracetic acid in mild condition and the effect of pH,stabilizer on the whiteness and bursting strength of the fabric were studied.The optimum process conditions were found: peracetic acid concentration(5 g/L),pH value 5, treating at 60 ℃ for 60 min,with addition of ammonium sulfate and urea as stabilizer.The results show that higher whiteness values with less fabric damage are possible with peracetic acid bleaching process.Its effect is better than that of hydrogen peroxide bleaching.

Bias cut is a method cuting on a diagonal(45°),a technique lies between planar cuting and three-dimensional cuting.It utilizes the oblique extending characteristics of the material and takes the 45°of the material as the vertical side of the fabric.When the garment is made of,flace and clothing bottom has the natural wavy distributions and takes on even state.After studying two instances of six-piece dresses and two-piece dresses,the basic processes of bias cut can be confirmed as follows: first,turn the material 45°,then proceed to design.Apart from skirts and dresses,bias cut can be used in making trousers,coats,etc.

In order to make an in-depth study on using recycled PET to produce textile fiber with high quality,thus reducing environmental pollution and promoting sustainable development,made a review of its processing technology,research and development in recent years both at home and abroad,and analyzed the problems in existence.Analysis showed that high quality textile fiber can be produced with recycled PET by chemical regeneration.The paper suggested that future research should focus on the de-polymerization,separation,purification,polymerization and spinning of PET for improving the quality of regenerated fibers.And some advanced separation methods such as alcoholysis and supercritical fluid have bright future.

As an important part of CAD for woven fabric,the simulation technique of woven appearance has received due attention and research,and some mature techniques have come into being,which can be classified into three categories: color matching model-based method,yarn designing-based method,and geometrical model and light model-based method.The simulation′s principles were introduced and the main virtue and shortcomings about every model of each method were analyzed.A systematic comparison and evaluation of the three methods was performed and the applicable field of each method was presented.The future research direction in this area is also discussed.

Having excellent anti-ballistic property and light weight,fabrics and flexible composite laminates made of high tenacity,high strength,and high modulus fibers have been widely applied in impact-related areas such as turbine blade containment,fuselage protection and body armor.Research indicated that it is the properties of material and the system of its construction that decide its ballistic impact property.The paper presents a review of the factors that influence ballistic impact performance,specifically,the fiber bundle property,fabric structure,bullet geometry and velocity,fixed form of the target board and the friction between bullet and the board.This can be used as a guide in designing materials of impact resistance.
