Analysis of performance of untwisted yarn fabric

Abstract: This paper covers the test for the permeability,hygroscopicity,and shrinkage of untwisted knitted fabrics and makes a comparison with the relevant indexes of twisted knitted fabrics.The permeability of the untwisted knitted fabric is almost twice as much as that of the twisted fabric.The drying viscosity of the untwisted fabric is faster than that of the twisted fabric.This demonstrates that the untwisted knitted fabric has better air-permeable and moisture transmitting properties as compared with the twisted.In addition,the permeability,moisture transmittance,tensile strength,bursting strength,and draping of the untwisted woven fabric are also tested.The untwisted yarn fabrics have good serviceability and potential for development of new products.
