Abstract: According to differential capillary effect of fabrics, various knitted functional sportswear fabrics are made of the moisture-transfer and dry-fast properties of abnormal cross section polyester filaments with common weaves and structures. The test results and comparative studies reveal that the larger the difference of the linear density per filament between the inner layer and outer layer of the fabric, the more prominent differential capillary effect of fabric. The differential capillary effect differs in fabrics with same linear density of the inner and outer layers fiber but different weave structures. The fabric with three-layer weave structure has the best differential capillary effect.
