Abstract: By vertical wicking measurement and falling-drop method,this paper studied the influence of different profiled fibers on the moisture transport properties of the fabrics with the same structural parameters.The results showed that the order of moisture transport properties of the fabric is consistent with that of the fiber when the fabric has the same structural parameters,and is associated with the morphological structure and fineness of fibers.Moisture vapor transporting time along warp and weft direction of fabric had exponential relation with wicking height.The results obtained by two methods are similar;however,the vertical wicking measurement is better than the falling-drop method when comparing the moisture vapor transport properties of fabrics with different morphological structures.
