Abstract:

A computational fluid dynamic model was established for simulating the flow field in condensing zone of compact spinning with porous cage roller. Their effects of width of suction slot, negative pressure, and splitter plate on the flow movement in condensing zone were analyzed. The results show that the converging air flow is generated by negative pressure effects in compact spinning with porous cage roller. The smaller the negative pressure, the bigger the exit velocity of the exhaust pipe. Suction slot with different widths and a suction hole with different negative pressure bring about different effects on fiber bundle. A compact spinning device with splitter plate is better than the one without splitter plate. The computational results well agree with the experimental values, thus providing reliable theoretical basis for the application of flow aggregation-type spinning device.
