Abstract: From the measurements of bunker gear jacket, this paper discussed the structure features of the current bunker gear jacket. Combined with the dress effects in motionless and dynamic states, the existing problems were explored. Based on the variation of the movement of the body and the functional and comfortable requirements of the wearers, the methods for improving the structure of the body and the sleeves were proposed. The measures include reducing the margin of the armhole height, raising the armhole line, increasing the width of the godet under arm, and adding pleats on the back sleeve seams. According to the adjustment methods, the sample garments were constructed and the compared experiments on the original sample and the new one showed that the covering function of bunker gear jacket could be improved significantly through methods of structure compensation.
