Abstract: The same size/spec fabric was woven using 5 different 19.5tex chitin/cotton blended yarn at different blending ratioby the author. By measuring their pHvalue, rigidness and softness, moisture permeability, air permeability, strength/elongation , wet permeability to understand the different blending ratio impact on the performance of blended fabric. The experiment results demonstrated that 10/90 blending ratio of chitin/cotton blended yarn will have the best warp and weft strength, wicking capability & wet permeability ; 20/80 will have the best moisture permeability and 50/50 has the biggest bending rigidity and best air permeability . The bending rigidity of blended fabric、weft strength、wet permeability is strongly correlated with blending ratio. From the overall consideration of fabric comfort and yarn fabric property etc, 20/80 chitin/cotton blended fabric has better practicality and 30/70 has worse performance for all aspects. From the comfort of fabric and yarn performance considering several aspects, 20 / 80 chitin / cotton blend fabric is more practical, while the 30 / 70 chitin / cotton blended ratio of various aspects of performance.
