Abstract: Based on the current research on the fiber fatigue mechanism, some related research methods and devices on the fiber bending fatigue were summarized partially in this paper. These results are very useful which can help us to have more knowledge of some textile fibers and use them more reasonably. There is stress life (S-N) method, energy method and polymer fatigue theory about the flexible fiber bending fatigue. These theories play the important role extremely in bending fatigue research. Along with the development of the theories, the corresponding bending fatigue instrument also had a lot of improvements. Combined with some modern professional software application, the fiber fatigue research contents and methods are more and more convenient and true. These effectively promote the research of the textile fiber bending fatigue.

Key words: textile fiber, bending fatigue, numerical calculation, bending fatigue tester
