Caking property of the basalt fiber geogrid with the asphalt

Abstract: The basalt fiber is a kind of non crystalline inorganic and a smooth surface of cylindrical solid fiber. The bonding force is poor between the basalt fiber geogrid with asphalt and it’s a simple coating. In the base of the basalt fiber component structure analysis the surface of geogrid tablets was treated with silane coupling agent (KH550、KH570) and aluminum zirconium coupling agent (TL-1、TL-6. the geogrid tablets is short time immersed in the liquid asphalt and then take the water immersion test analysis. It can be concluded that the bonding degree can reach level 5 which was treated with silane coupling agent KH570.
