Abstract: Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) was used to anchor amino groups on the surface of cotton fabric, and Ag was loaded by the complexation of amino groups with Ag+. The effect of coupling agent concentration, coupling temperature on the loading capacity of silver on cotton fabric were studied, and antibacterial property of the cotton fabric was tested. The results show that the optimized conditions of coupling process arecoupling temperature is 50oC, the concentration of coupling agent is 0.4%. The optimized condition of complexation reaction are as follows: the complexation temperature is 35oC, reaction time is 100 min. The antibacterial property of the Ag-loaded cotton fabric to escherichia coli and staphylococcus albus is farely well even after 10 times washing.
