      Synthesis and characterization of cellulose carbamate

      The effect of synthetic method of cellulose carbamate,degree of polymerization of raw materials,synthesis temperature and time,the kind of carrier and its dosage,concentration of urea on nitrogen content of cellulose carbamate were discussed systemically.The results show that the accessibility of the reactant can be increased with carriers added.It is better for the reaction with the degree of polymerization ranging from 320 to 390.The esterification carries on easily when the pH value of the reactive system is over 7.The nitrogen content of the cellulose carbamate increases with the urea concentration increasing and the pre-treatment time protracting,and the optimal synthesis condition is finally determined,that is,the urea concentration is 40%,pre-treatment time is 2 hours and the temperature and time of esterification is(150 ℃) and 3 hours respectively.IR spectrum study indicates the presence of acylamide bond in the cellulose carbamate and X-ray diffraction shows that the type of crystal of the cellulose carbamate is similar with that of cellulose after being activated and the degree of crystallization changes little.

      Cotton fiber was treated with an effective flame retardant DFP,which was then incorporated with Cu<sup>2+<sup> to get flame retardant cotton fiber.Then the flame retarding and smoke suppression of the flame retardant cotton fiber were determined by cone calorimetry.The data show that for the flame retardant cotton fiber,as compared with untreated cotton fiber,the rate of heat release,total heat release and effective heat of combustion are much decreased,which shows that the flame retardant cotton fiber has good flame retarding and smoke suppression effects with much less release of smoke,fume,CO and CO<sub>2</sub> and toxic gas.

      To determinate the concentration of TiO2 in functional fiber for labeling purpose,the sample was nitrified with burning and dissolved in mix acid as pretreatment and then its concentration of TiO2 was determined by spectrophotometric method with ascorbic acid as shelter reagent of Fe3+ and Cu2+ and diantipyryl methane(DAPM) as developer at wavelength λ=(390 nm.) A good linear relationship was exhibited with the mass concentration of Ti at the range of(0.005~)(0.65 mg/L,) linear equation y=(1.407 1x)-(0.009 3)(R~2=0.999),the detection limit was(0.005 mg/L,) the average recovery ratio was above 98%,and relative standard deviation(RSD) was 0.59%.The method is simple and fast,high accuracy and practicability.

      In order to improve the hydrophilic performance of conventional polyacrylonitrile fibers,the hydrophilic co-polyacrylonitrile fibers with three dimensional network structures were prepared with acrylonitrile and methylmethacrylate as monomers and N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide as potential crosslinking agent by solution polymerization,wet-spinning,post-crosslinking and alkaline hydrolyzing.The influences of the amount of potential crosslinking agent and conditions of crosslinking and hydrolyzing on the chemical structrue,thermal dynamic mechanical properties and surface morphologies of the fibers were investigated.Results show that the hydrophilic co-polyacrylonitrile fibers which can still keep fibrous form after absorbing water as much as(20 times) of fiber weight can be obtained by controlling the amount of post-crosslinking agent and conditions of crosslinking and hydrolyzing.

      The dispersed treatment solution containing nano-TiO2 with size distribution ranging from 30 to(60 nm) and chitosan was prepared and applied to the modification treatment of the tussah silk fiber.The structure and mechanical properties of the treated fibers were studied.The results indicated that nano-particles were dispersed homogeneously and the citric acid and maleic anhydride as cross linkers in treatment solution reacted with tussah silk and chitosan.The crystallinity of treated tussah silk fiber was increased and more β-sheet structure was formed.It was also found that the longitudinal morphology of the tussah silk fiber treated with nano-TiO2 and chitosan solution had slight longitudinal stripe,and the mechanical properties including breaking strength,breaking elongation,initial modulus and breaking work of the treated silk filaments were increased to some extent.

      The chemical composition of the surface of aramid fiber treated by plasma was characterized by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The results showed that carbon content on the fiber surface decreases as plasma treatment time increases,while nitrogen content exhibits little change and the content of oxygen increases in large extent.And increasing plasma treatment time in the scope of this experiment,the total amount of oxygen-containing groups(—C—OH,C()(O,)—COO—,—COOH) has a significant increase.Thus,the chemical action and physical etching of plasma treatment on the surface of aramid fiber will be conducive to the improvement of aramid fiber interface character and favorable for its adhesion to rubber matrix.This research results have provided a theoretical basis for the application of aramid fiber.

      An infrared camouflage fiber was prepared by melt spinning.The mechanical performance and infrared emitting properties etc.of the infrared camouflage fiber were investigated.The results show that the breaking strength of the fiber increases and elongation decreases continuously during the drawing process while increasing draw ratio.Its mechanical properties,crystallinity,and melting temperature decrease as the fillers content increases in the fibers.Metal particles or ZnO nanoparticles can reduce the infrared emissivity of the fiber.The combined use of these two kinds of particles can produce synergistc effect in inducing the infrared emissivity of the fiber.The lowest infrared emissivity of the fiber can reach 0.60.

      To better meet the demand of full dull Terylene filament on decorative fabric market,the present work is devoted to an all-round discussion of its production technique with focuses on the process parameters such as selection and preparation of dulling agent titanium dioxide,design of profiled spinneret orifice for FDY,drying of slice,spinning temperature,cooling,etc.and the optimal production technique of full dull Terylene FDY is determined.The physical performances of the newly developed full dull Terylene FDY are test.The results show that all property indexes satisfy the requirements on the market.

      In order to find out a mass production method of chitin,this paper studied the production process for chitin by using the fermentation of fungi.Results showed that Absidia fungi yields the highest volume of chitin,producing up to(200 mg) chitin per(200 mL) culture media.The chitin produced through the fermentation process takes the form of hollow fibers,with the length ranging from 50 to 100 mm,similar to that of textile fiber.After treatment,these fibers can be made into a structure similar to hydroentangled nonwoven by the paper making process.The research demonstrated that the chitin fiber made by fermentation has very good bioactivity,is bio-adsorbable,and facilitates the growth of cell and accelerates wound healing when used as medical dressings.

      In this essay,the spinning techniques are optimized with the method of factor analysis.The yarns spun with four different techniques are evaluated by this method in which two common factors(fineness unevenness and tenacity) are extracted from the 7 yarn quality indexes.The accumulative contribution percentage of the two factors is up to 91.813%,most of the information included in the yarn quality indexes is reflected by these two factors.Then the score of each factor is calculated and yarn quality is evaluated accordingly.On this basis,the spinning techniques are optimized.The conclusion drawn here is in good agreement with spinning practices,so it is testified that this is a feasible and outstanding method for optimizing spinning techniques.

      Using aQura analysis instrument,the changing rule of the quantity and diameter of neps from raw material up to the finishing drawing during processing combed yarns with rotor spinner was analyzed.It was found that the number of beaters in the process of opening and cleaning is the main factor that affects neps producing on finished yarns,and the quadratic correlation between the number of beaters and opening and cleaning is also determined.This paper discusses the calculation of rotor combed cotton yarn neps and the ability of rotor spinning to eliminate neps of yarns with different linear density.The regression relation between the neps on combed sliver and the neps of different grades on rotor spun yarn was obtained by using the function polyfit in MatLab mathematical software to fit the least square curve.The research work is considered to be of reference value in quality control and process optimization.

      This article simulates the really running process of yarns during weaving by adopting CTT(constant tension transport) system to evaluate abrasion of yarns.Through mathematical method,it concludes that increasing guide speed and decreasing pre-tension are the effective measures to reduce the yarn-yarn and yarn-machine frictions.It is found that the yarns abrasion decreases by power and logarithm as the guide speed increases,while increases by index as the pre-tension increases.This conclusion has certain significance as guidance for weaving, especially for knitting.

      An in-depth analysis was carried out of imitating the pattern and color of digital image by jacquard fabric,and the innovative design principle and method of digital jacquard fabric were presented.The design approach is that designing fabric structure on the basis of all-coloring structure,remedying the shortcoming of gray component by twice CMYK separation of digital image,and setting an adjustable range for color selection of threads.The produced digital jacquard fabric is capable of imitating the pattern and color of original digital image.Moreover,for this design method meets the requirement of balanced interlacement,it can be applied to designing digital jacquard fabric with whatever motifs of pattern.And it poses no problem in mass production.

      A means of grading technology of knitted sweater which combined the point-grading method of the apparel pattern grading with the calculating technology of knitted sweater is proposed to improve the grading technology and fill the vacuum of grading theory of knitted sweater by applying the grading theory of non-shape garment to knitted sweater.The way for the determination of the vertical and transversal coordinate difference on the moving of the key point of the knitted sweater is studied.The principle of the line segment of each size keeping parallel is explained by applying it to the grading of the narrowing height of armhole and shoulder slant.An example of the grading of men′s V neck curve armhole sleeveless knitted sweater is provided to explain the means of grading technology of knitted sweater.

      The micro-mechanical constitutive model of the knitted fabric is introduced and an integrated numerical analysis model based on the excellent exoteric language interface of MSC.Marc is developed to simulate the draping and buckling of knitted fabrics under gravity load.The micro-constitutive model characterizes the special properties of knitted fabric due to its micro-knitting structures.The knitted fabric sheet is discretized with 8-node shell elements which are specially designed to describe the large rotation of fabric sheet during draping.The buckling modes are analyzed,the post-buckling deformations of knitted fabric sheet are evaluated,and experiments on draping and buckling of a square knitted fabric sheet are also carried out.The simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental observations.Simulations of dynamic process are given eventually.

      For commercial application of Flos Sophorae buds dyes(FSBD),its chemical composition and resistance to heat,acid and alkali were tested,and the effects of dyeing processes such as temperature,pH value,the dosage(o.w.f) of aluminum mordant and FSBD on the result of the dyed wool fabric were investigated.The anti-microbial activity of the dyed wool fabric with FSBD was tested also.The experimental results showed: the FSBD powder,which has high purity and good stability properties to heat and acid,can be produced by the simple and low-cost method;the yellow wool fabric with brilliant shade and good color fastnesses can be obtained by the optimized pre-mordant dyeing process with aluminum;the dyed wool fabric has bactericidal property against staphylococcus aureus and inhibitory effect against bacillus coli and Candida albicans.

      Cold-plasma induced under vacuum conditions is usually applied to the surface modification of polyester fabrics.In order to achieve more effective and batch treatment of polyester fabrics,a continuous plasma treating system using dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) at atmospheric pressure is developed by researchers and the modification of polyester fabrics was carried out with the system in different gas environment,i.e.,Ar,N_2-Ar,O_2-Ar respectively.The contact angle,wicking effect,decay time and color differences of the treated fabric were tested and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) images were obtained.It was found that the wettability,antistatic property and dyeability of the treated fabric were significantly improved.

      In order to develop new fabrics involving PTT fiber,the heat settings of PTT fabrics with different elongation under different temperatures were carried out.The influence of heat setting process on the performance of PTT fabrics was investigated.The XRD analysis was used to characterize the changes of crystallinity within the fiber influenced by heat setting.The experimental results showed that the strength and elasticity recovery ratio of PTT fabrics basically increased with rising of the temperature and increase of the fabric elongation,while the softness became worse.The crystallinity of PTT fiber was found being changed by the heat setting.In conclusion,the heat setting around(170 ℃) with an elongation of about 5% would be helpful in improving the performance of PTT fabrics.

      To reduce product quality problem caused by color measuring deviation and have a better control of product quality in dyeing and printing sectors,it is necessary to evaluate color measuring result.Color measuring result′s uncertainty is evaluated on the basis of analyzing evaluation methods of measuring uncertainty,taking into consideration the characteristics of color measurement at the same time.Firstly,according to evaluation method of uncertainty of ISO,calculation of spectral reflectance′s uncertainty is analyzed based on uncertainty′s sources and correlation coefficient between different spectral reflectance;then chromatic value′s uncertainty is calculated based on spectral reflectance′s uncertainty.Finally,practical application of color measuring result′s uncertainty is analyzed by examples.The present work has laid a theoretical basis for further study.

      On the basis of three-dimensional body measurements,this paper has sorted basic breast shapes of 254 women undergraduates aging from 18 to 25 in the west of China into 9 types according to the two mostly important factors embodying the beauty,i.e.,the nipple breadth and breast point.And it analysed their characteristics and chioce of bra size.It has comed to the conclusion that the proportion between the breast and torso is around 0.71 and,that between the nipple breadth and breast point,around 0.5 for young women;with respect to the choice of bra,most young women only need commom ones,then they need bras which can help heighten breasts or furl them from sides,and a few women need dubleeffect ones.The purpose of this study is to help undergarment factories set down schemes of bra manufacture and women choose fit bra.

      Body measurement of male adults was performed on a large quantity basis in Shanghai area,and the data obtained were analyzed by using SPSS software. The body shape characteristics of the current survey were compared with those of 1987 survey on nation-wise basis.The body shape characteristics of each age bracket of male adults in Shanghai area was got by dividing the age brackets and the proportions of different body shapes of each age bracket was figured out by using frequency analysis.This has offered,from a standpoint of body shape characteristics,a theoretical basis for market segmentation and size configuration of men′s clothes of different age brackets.

      Based on our experimental results of trousers structure design,we argue that it is unreasonable to equal the back and front distribution of saddle width loose quantity and it is inappropriate to remain an average of two centimeters′ margin of buttocks and waist in terms of buttocks and waist structural parameter data processing.This study aims to redistribute the saddle width loose quantity,readjust the margin of buttocks and waist,and standardize the buttocks and waist structural parameter.Based on the correlation between lower limbs characteristics and body engineering science,this study explores a more scientific and appropriate trousers structure design,which alters the saddle width loose quantity distribution as well as the buttocks and waist structural parameter data processing.It will make the trousers configuration design more consist with human body lower limbs′ characteristics and their sports function.Hopefully,this study can provide some valuable suggestions for future sample trousers design.

      Females′ clothes in the area south Yangtze River have produced their own characters in the long history.Combination is one of the most prominent characters.It refers to a technique that inlays two or more pieces of cloth on the clothes.Combination on the max-chemise includes both vertical and horizontal forms.Combination on waistband can be divided into vertical form and interspersed form.The main function of combination is for practicability.It can be disassembled easily and it can hold some little items.It also has aesthetic functions.The source of combination can be traced back to very early ages,and it was further developed in the Song,Ming,and Qing dynasties.It indicates that combination is the evolution of traditional costume and aesthetic requirement.

      With a view to determining a reasonable layout of compact spinning on FA506 ring spinning frame,a basic model of cross-section position of compact spinning was developed to analyze the influences of the spinning length of roller nip to thread guide,inclination of roller nip to thread guide,the length of compact field and the wrap arc of roller on the yarn breakage,the fiber band effect of compact spinning,transmission of twist and spinning tension &amp; strength.The equation of reasonable cross-section technologic dimensions was derived.Furthermore,the range of reasonable cross-section technologic dimensions which have great value for reference was presented using MatLab.The results showed that reasonable inclination of roller nip to thread guide and the length of compact field is a pair of main contradiction which can be solved in harmony by optimizing the orientation and shape dimension of compact roller.

      This paper introduces the profile and movement principle of two terry mechanisms on HGA732T range terry rapier looms.The differences,advantages and drawbacks between two terry mechanisms are compared based on their mechanism constructions and functions.The movement parameters and dynamics parameter are discussed starting from the terry mechanism design and the law of motion.In combination of practical experiments,some key factors influencing the performance of towel loom are presented,thus providing a basis for further optimizing the mechanism as well as a reference for designing other terry mechanisms.

      To adapt to the high speed of modern rapier looms and the requirement of rapier motion curve,a new design method of transitional curve of modified trapezoid acceleration motion for rapier is put forward,which uses high order polynomial as transitional curve.The method takes into account not only boundary condition but also midpoint and 1/4 node,so the two joints of transitional curve are of slick transition.In this way,the rapier motions placidly and rapidly.It has more advantages and is fit for high speed looms.

      During the process of designing textile mechanism,it would be helpful for the designer to view the whole dynamic kinetic course of the designed mechanism and the kinetic information(displacement,velocity,acceleration) of any point or linkages of the mechanism in the meantime.Based on the basic structure theory of planar linkage mechanism and topology,the node basic information database and restricting relation database of mechanism were established.The independent basic linkage groups were isolated and solved.The current program was compiled using MatLab and the computer aided analysis and simulation system of the planar linkage mechanism were developed.Warp knitting machine sinker was taken for example to validate the result.For any given mechanism,as long as the known information database of it was input,its dynamic simulation graph and kinetic information of any point or link can be gotten.

      This paper described the development platform of testing system for geotextiles by using VB and neuro-fuzzy algorithm,and elucidates the design idea and model with focuses on the software and hardware for testing,establishing data bank,network security and driving fuzzy-logic controller et al.An exemplum is given of testing the volume of water flow on a given plane of geotextiles.It is proved that the development platform helps the intellectualization and networking of testing instruments for geotextile and shortening their design cycle.It has better practical value.

      In the traditional jacquard CAD system,image can be processed only on one layer.In order to enhance the system ability of processing images and increase the efficiency of designing,this paper applies layer technique in jacquard CAD system,and vector map editing and mathematical morphology method fit for the jacquard CAD field are used at the same time.A jacquard CAD image processing system based on the layer technique is finally designed.The system is programmed in Delphi 7.System architecture,implementation principle of each module and core algorithm are introduced.Through the above methods,good effect is gained at last,which demonstrates that this technique has broad prospects for application.

      It is one of the main functions of fabric CAD system to simulate the fabric according to its yarn structure,weaves and patterns.To acquire more effective and realistic simulation,this thesis transforms the rendered drawing from 2-D to 3-D, and introduces trace depth and the concept of attenuating exponential in the process of ray tracing.The preferable visual effect has been obtained by setting up a non-refraction transparence model according to the characteristics of the fabric,using the ray tracing technique to simulate the reflection,transmission and shadow of the fabric surface,and applying such techniques as scene sculpt, illumination calculation,texture,anti-deformation,etc.

      In textile inspection,fabric defects are usually detected by human inspectors.For solving these problems,such as low efficiency,high rate of errors and missing inspections,a new design idea is presented to achieve automatic inspection of the fabric using robustness operation.The major identification methods in fabric inspection and the research achievements in automatic fabric inspection system at home and broad are introduced.The current status and developing trends of software and hardware technology for machine vision are discussed,along with the existent problems in respect to its application to fabric inspection.Finally,it pointed out that developing a distributed robust machine vision detection technology,aiming at high speed product line,is the research and development direction of automatic grey cloth inspection system which is suitable for our country′s situations.
